Life's not perfect
Sabi nila life can't be perfect. Hindi pwedeng OK ang lahat ng aspeto sa buhay mo: friends, family, financially, love life, health and career. Kelangan may isa laging masa-sacrifice or worse higit pa.
Sa akin ngayon, health ko siguro ang pinaka hindi-OK. Wala naman akong sakit. Pero kung ia-assess ko ang buhay ko ngayon, ito siguro ang may pinakamababang rating. Between one and ten, it's a five.
If I were to ask you, what would be the worst thing in your life today?
And if you have a choice, what aspect of your life would you want to sacrifice?

If the financial/money aspect and career could be separate, I'd choose career.
We work in a startup, right? Assuming our startup succeeds and then we get enough money to support our lives for a relatively long time (e.g. get bought out or something and then get filthy rich), I'd prefer to start from scratch (i.e. do/work in another startup) and then hopefully succeed and get to earn more money to support my/our lifestyle for a longer time.
Also, if I could work as a developer and not need to "go up the food chain" and just get a (huge?) increase in salary instead, that would be great. But alas, most of the corporate hierarchies/policies are broken...
I dunno. Maybe my definition of a successful career is messed up.

Hmm... wait, that didn't turn out right. :D
Worst thing in my life today? The financial aspect. Why? I can't afford to get the cool gadgets/toys that I want.
The above comment is my answer to "What aspect of your life would you want to sacrifice?"

ako as long as i got my family, friends and my loved one right next to me.. contented na ako.. syempre pa with a healthy body.. pano ko pa ichecherish yung loved ones ko kung patay na ako di ba? heheh.. they do say career/money go hand in hand.. but then in reality i don't think so.. I chose having a balanced career even with lil money involved as long as I am happy with what I am doing.. :)

- sounds like ok ka na pag marami kang pera. ano ba definitions mo ng "marami" at "konti" pera? im just curious.
at saka, pwede namang hindi mataas ang expectations when it comes to career and dreams dba? if you are aiming for a simple life, then you wouldn't have such problems. based from what you said, it seems that you're not. depende sa tao yan.
one more thing, mas ok kung hindi mo igeneralize yung pananaw mong yan dahil it does not apply to everyone.

kung ako lang naman, ok lang na simple ang buhay..
but i'm doing this for someone else.. (just trying to get what they want and what they want me to be)
hindi ko naman gine-genaralize.. nasabi ko lang yun para sa sarili ko..
ayun..wala lang..
