what's the meaning of my dream?

Boracay (Oct 2007) Estimated Expenses

Last year we spent P6,027 each for our Boracay escapade.

This time, magkano kaya for 8 pax? e each person?

Fare:
We again got the One-peso fare ticket of Cebu Pacific which costs P1,968 per person. We paid a terminal fee at the Domestic Airport worth P200 each. Another P52 in Caticlan for the environmental and terminal fee. For tricycle fare, it costs P7 for ordinary and P50 for special.

Hotel:
We availed of Nigi Nigi Too's family room for P3,365 per person which includes two-day breakfast and round-trip transfer from Kalibo. Our room is a two-storey family room with one bathroom.

Food for 8 adults:
Day 1: We had our lunch in Nigi Nigi Too, one platter of seafood for P1,200. Our dinner was in Gasthof "Paluto" in Station 2, for P1,926.40. We came back with groceries from Budget Mart for P828.50.
(I forgot to mention that we brought a rice cooker. Yes, you read it right! Hehehe.. That's why the following expenses would be a little bit cheaper than Day 1.)
Day 2: Our breakfast is free, remember? My siblings went to the local Talipapa to buy food for lunch and dinner. Our lunch cost P578. Our dinner cost P607.
Day 3: For our breakfast, we had bread, cheesewhiz and coffee. Those were from the groceries we bought from Day 1. We ask Nigi Nigi if we can just get our free breakfast for lunch. They said yes, so we had only P195 for lunch since we exceeded our limit. Our dinner was from Talipapa again, costs P475.
Day 4: We just had bread and coffee from the groceries.

Summary: per person
Fare
P 1 968.00
200.00
52.00
7.00
Hotel
3 365.00
Food

Misc
150.00 (internet card)
----------------------------------------------------------
Total P 6 469.00
(exclusive of pasalubong, shakes, outdoor activities fee)

P 51,752.00 (approx. expenses for 4D/3N for 8 pax)

Not bad, no? P7,000 is enough to go to Boracay. Of course, pwede kang magbudget ng mas malaki if you have extra money. :)

iPhone Cons

People think HAVING an iPhone looks cool. Uhm.. Yes, in some cases like the wifi! But some of the features are either not-so-useful, hard to use or not user friendly. Or.... it's just me. I'll list down some of those:

1) Keyboard is hard to use. That means it is harder to send an SMS on the road!
2) I can't send photos via Bluetooth. I haven't tried using it. I might be wrong but I think Bluetooth are just for receiving stuff and for Bluetooth headset. But we'll never know..
3) It's hard to type (blog/send messages) in Tagalog because it suggests words and replaces the similar words in English.
4) Safari is crashing most of the time!
5) iPhone hangs sometimes. One case I've experienced was when the network is messed up. What I can only do is wait for the battery to run out. It's not like an ordinary phone that I can just remove the battery to reset.
6) No wrist strap for iPhone. Aww...
7) No IM on the iPhone. I'm a messenger addict but I can't find any messenger for iPhone. I can't use Gtalk. You need flash to use the Google Talk widget, and there's no support for flash on the iPhone. Meebo is so slow. Other messengers are hard to use.
8) No copy and paste yet. Concept pa lang.
9) No right click either.

Third day in Boracay

It's Friday, our third day here in Bora.. Malakas ang hangin kya wala kming magawa, just like August last year. Kaya ego, net muna kmi.

Sana later this afternoon, lumiwanag na ang langit para we can do our activities with my family.

iPod Touch or iPhone Dilemma

Practicality wise (kung iPhone and iPod Touch lang ang choices nyo), if I were you, na kuripot din (ah sige na nga nagtitipid :p) pero syempre gusto rin ng gadget iPod Touch na lang. Why?

First, cheaper ang iPod Touch. $100 USD cheaper ang iPod Touch sa iPhone. Kung OK lang sayo gumastos ng additional $100 para sa camera, bluetooth, SMS and GPRS, go ahead! Get an iPhone!
